Rachel K. Leff-Kich

Rachel Kimiko Leff-Kich is a partner at Taubman Dias Dominguez, LLP, and a Certified Specialist in Family Law, as certified by the California Board of Legal Specialization. She practices exclusively family law and represents clients through all aspects of their marital dissolution actions, from initial consultation to settlement and/or trial, including post-judgment actions. Her practice includes dissolution, complex property characterization and division, high-conflict child custody and visitation, and child and spousal support.

Since beginning her family law practice in December 2010, Rachel has represented a diverse range of clients throughout the Bay Area, including Marin, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley. Her clients range from company founders to lawyers, teachers, and stay-at-home parents. She has handled numerous domestic violence cases, domestic and international relocations (“move-aways”), Marvin cases, cases involving children with special needs, and domestic torts. Rachel also handles straightforward family law cases, pre- and post-marital agreements, and marital settlements, frequently collaborating with financial and other subject matter experts. Rachel meets each case on its own terms: pursuing an efficient, negotiated resolution where that best serves her client, and litigating assertively when a fair outcome requires it. She partners with her clients to find the path, and the result, that best protects their interests.

Rachel grew up in Berkeley and earned her B.A. from UC Davis in 2004. She received her J.D. from Santa Clara University in 2010.

Rachel served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the San Mateo Bar Association (2020-2021), on the Board of Directors of the San Mateo Bar Association (2022), and on the Board of Jewish Family and Community Services East Bay (2020-2026).

Rachel is passionate about family law because it offers the opportunity to guide people through one of the most difficult periods of their live. Her conviction, empathy, and skills in legal research and writing make her a formidable advocate, both inside and outside the courtroom.
